Good Monday morning to you!

Well, it’s President’s Day and time to test your knowledge of our presidential history. Try these three questions out on your friends and family today:

1. Who was the fifth U.S. president? Most people will say Abraham Lincoln, likely due to him being on the $5 bill, but the answer is James Monroe.

2. Who was the first president to live in the White House? You might guess George Washington, who did oversee the construction of the building in 1792, but you would be wrong. The first president to actually reside in the White House was John Adams in 1800.

3. Who was the first president born in the U.S.? The first seven presidents were born before the United States gained independence. So the correct answer is Martin Van Buren, the eighth president, who was born in New York in 1782.

Have a marvelous Monday, and, as always, thanks for reading.

FROM KCCI: In interview, Reynolds talks education, reprimanding some large school districts

DES MOINES, Iowa — Gov. Kim Reynolds had an interview on Fox News Sunday night where she spoke about Iowa's education plans during the pandemic. "For the vast majority of our school districts have been open, and kids have been in the classrooms since August. And we've done it safely and responsibly," Reynolds said. "But some of our largest school districts refused and our kids are paying the price because of it." READ MORE FROM KCCI

FROM WHO-TV 13: Drake Picks Up Big Win Over No. 22 Loyola in OT, 51-50

DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) — Tremell Murphy scored 17 points, including the go-ahead basket in overtime, and Drake rallied past No. 22 Loyola Chicago 51-50 on Sunday. Murphy’s layup with 2:50 remaining put the Bulldogs ahead for good, 49-48, in the defensive struggle between Missouri Valley Conference powers. Beauty and the beast: Sports car catches Shelton’s eye.

You are never too old to fulfill the dream of owning a sports car, right? Well, that is exactly what Bob Shelton, 50, decided to do last summer.
Shelton can often be seen sporting about the Altoona and Des Moines areas in his 2005 Mercedes Benz SL500 retractable hard-top roadster, also known as his “beauty.”
“She is one sexy roadster. Everything about this car is exciting to me. I love being in it so much that it takes me a good five minutes after I shut the engine off to get out of it,” he says. “She is so pretty with the black and chrome and tan leather seats. The coolest part is definitely the way the hard top retracts into the back, making it a sexy convertible.”
